Turtle Day!
If you don't know, my son has a turtle. He lives in the living room just down the stairs from my office. (pics under the Read More)
You may think, oh, so sweet, and that's true, but it's more. Bob (the turtle's name) is a yellow-belly slider native to the East Coast. We got him at a half-dollar size when he wandered onto our driveway as a hatchling. That was not quite 2 years ago. He's now eight inches! (not counting his massive head and feet!) He can eat an entire lettuce leaf in less than a minute, and HE EATS ALL THE TIME!
Bob also needs his commercial-grade cannister filter scrubbed once a month. He's in a 125-gallon aquarium (it's big!) and the filter has to be 3-4X the recommended size for a regular aquarium in order to keep the water clean. (All that lettuce that goes in has to come out, a head of lettuce every couple days.)
Today is filter day. Yea!
Here's Bob's picture.

Here's Bob's first day with us.

Gotta love living the turtle life!
